Kuala Lumpur, 10 August 2024 – WTC Automotif (M) Sdn. Bhd. (WTCA), a fully owned subsidiary of Warisan TC Holdings Berhad and the exclusive distributor of GAC vehicles (ICE and PHEV) and AION (BEV) in Malaysia, proudly announces a groundbreaking milestone: the launch of the first locally-assembled GAC GS3 EMZOOM in right-hand drive in the ASEAN region. This achievement comes in response to positive feedback and unprecedented demand for the model, promising more attractive and affordable pricing, and enabling more customers to benefit from GAC’s advanced technology.

GAC GS3 EMZOOM: CKD Initiative and Availability

Effective 10 August 2024, WTCA will no longer accept bookings for Completely Built-Up (CBU) units. Customers with existing unfulfilled CBU bookings will have the option to convert their bookings to Completely Knocked Down (CKD) units. The CKD GAC GS3 EMZOOM will be available in the Premium-R variant, priced at RM126,800,and offered in five stunning colours: Salt Lake Blue, Asphalt Black, Superstar Silver,Graphite Grey, and Frost White.

The CKD and local assembly project which was launched on 11 May 2023 in partnership with GAC Motor, saw an investment of over RM 60 million to upgrade production lines and facilities. The first EMZOOM model rolled out from the Segambut plant in February 2024, entered the start of production (SOP) phase in April 2024, and has now transitioned into full production. The first GAC GS3 EMZOOM was also successfully launched on 18 April 2024 as a fully imported unit.

Looking ahead, we anticipate that the CKD GAC GS3 EMZOOM will be well received, with orders opening on 10 August. WTCA in expressing gratitude for the customers’ unwavering support, has announced an exclusive offer: customers experiencing a waiting period exceeding three months, as well as those who choose to convert their bookings from CBU to CKD, will receive complimentary tinting services valued at up to RM2,100. This exceptional offer is in addition to the current promotion of one year of free service or three complimentary maintenance sessions, along with a 5-year or 150,000km warranty on the vehicle. Furthermore, the first 2,000 customers to own a GAC GS3 EMZOOM, will receive a free smartwatch and an impressive 7-year or 180,000km warranty on the engine and powertrain.
